USS TIRU SS416 ASSOCIATION NEWS:

The process continues of registering the Association for a tax-free number. A meeting was held 19 May between Dick Murphy and a Michigan IRS agent who is assisting us in the filing of the proper forms and documents to qualify for a tax-exempt Veterans Association status. Updates will be posted in the Association and News section of Tiru's website.

Preliminary Plans are underway for the 2005 Reunion in Charleston. Highlights include a personal tour of the CSS H.L.Hunley facility and a low country shrimp boil and oyster roast... a true Charleston delicacy on a scenic covered dock in then middle of nowhere.

Association President (Acting): Charles Steinert, association(at)usstiru.com.
